This page should have 2016 through 2018 Sonic clothes.
The USA is still in the golden-age of Sonic clothing, mainly shirts. Watch for great new stock art (From Sega) to appear on these shirts. Top Heavy seems to be producing less, but newcomer Bio World is making more. Both little and big sizes will likely continue. Little sizes are still ok to collect, even if you don't fit into them, because you can still fit the shirt into a frame if you like the design to make it like a poster. However, it should be noted that Kohls, JC Penny, Hot Topic, and FYE are also getting into carrying Sonic shirts. GKWorld may also be getting into shirts as well!

2 Knuckles Theme Tee Shirts The Sega Shop website is bringing Knuckles tees to the table in 2018. They are in adults sizes only, but are 25 dollars each.
The first is an all red tee with simple white crescent shape on the chest so that you can be like Knuckles too! This is a fun cosplay / subtle design shirt that only a Sonic fan would recognize. It's a good idea.
It also has a counterpart sweat shirt over on Winter Wear. The 2nd is a gray tee with silly slogan. It uses the nwe forward facing classic Knuckles stock art & has "School of hard Knuccks" written in a circle around him with a 1994 year plate below his feet. It's a wacky play off of 'school of hard knocks' phrase.
Funko Pop Toy Tee Combo Arcade Box A combination item!
Funko brings a combo item to store shelves in the summer of 2018. These arcade cabinet shaped boxes contain a tee shirt & Funko pop Sonic figure. The 'screen' for the arcade shaped box has the modern logo, but a picture of Green Hill Zone. The front of the box has a picture of which tee you get since it can't be seen in the package. The back shows you which figure, and it is finger-waving Sonic.
The shirt itself is black with primary colors all-outlines design. It has Sonic's name, a row of rings & some 'floor' for him to be running on. However, the image on the tee is of funko pop styled Sonic so his head is super huge and he has the strange looking eye type. Photo by Taaron
6 Different Sonic Mania Tees Photo The Sega Shop released these 6 tees for Sonic Mania PLUS in the summer of 2018. They're mostly just variants of eachother, but the Plus cast makes for a cool & colorful design. The art here is shaded & Mighty & Ray look really good and classically styled. (even though all the art here is technically neo-classic)
The first tee is the odd one out, and it is called "Tails vs A Chili Dog". Why is he having a fright while holding a food? The art is from the funny, silent Youtube Mania cartoon that was used to promote the game in several short installments.
The characters were simplified with a unique looking funny style. The next design is the Mania Plus cast on blue, gray & white choices. (But why are there 2 blue choices?) The last tee uses the geometric circles/squares 'box art' background, with the logo & Plus cast. Each tee is about 26 dollars in the SegaShop online store. They are all adutls sizes.
Pac Sun Pacific Japanese Style Tee This shirt is only available at Pacific Sun / Pac Sun!
It's a store generally found in shopping malls that has fun tees, shoes, school bags & other accessories. Sometimes they will obtain an exclusive item...and this one is quite nice! It uses the Sega CD era Japan art for Sonic in a sort of '3 point' stance looking concentrating. He's on a black/white checkered background, surrounded on 3 sides by Japanese words. The top word is his name. But what is the left edge word & the bottom word? (Write in if you can translate for credit!)
But look there in the bottom left corner, there's a little circle containing cute neo classic waving Tails. Everything here is in full bright color. The Tails detail is small, but the orange adds a fun splash of color to the design. This is an example of a nicely designed tee that doesn't resemble anything else while still being classically cool. This is an adult size item in 2018.
Forever 21 Women's Sonic Tunnel Tee This tee is only sold at Forever 21 stores!
This is a women's sizes tee (so, could maybe fit anyone) and it's called the "Sonic Tunnel Tee". The graphic has perspective grid lines in black on the white shirt background to create a square 'tunnel' that looks like it goes through the shirt. The characters are also drawn at different sizes to enhance the perspective and try to make it 3D & different. (It works, no other shirt uses this effect) Sonic is running in front, Tails is flying after, Shadow is shown (unusually!) hover-skating along & Knuckles is running in the back. There's Japanese text at the bottom that spells out "Sonic the Hedgehog" in a simple line font. Photo discovered by Pichu97/Charlie
Green Hill Zone Classic Face Tee Here's a new tee for fall season of 2018.
It's a dark navy blue, with a large classic forward-facing Sonic face on the front. The lines for the eyes, nose, mouth & ears are there, but instead of coloring him in normally, it uses a Green Hill Zone scene. There's water at the bottom (to keep the face mostly blue) the 'path' through the middle (where the eye-whites take up most of it) and blue sky for the top of the head. A Sonic sprite is seen jumping there kind of in the middle. The graphic is 16 bit style.
This combination of art & screen shot makes for an interesting theme for the shirt. Certainly, it's not been done before & is totally classic looking without being boring. This may be an Amazon item, at 19.00 in adults sizes.
Sega Shop 6 Red & Blue Tees Selection The Sega Shop stays busy in 2018, and releases 6 more tees to choose from, though some are just variants of each other.
The first 2 are red, and the difference is one has the Forces Uprising logo big & centrally located, while the other has it small and off to one side.
The next tee is a choice of red or blue, but it has the same white design. It's a 'sparkling' pixel-look Sonic thumbs up face with a Genesis controller and the slogan "Be My Player 2" with a heart. The last 2 are Sonic Mania, with Sonic in the geometric colorful shapes under the title, and it's a choice of blue tee or black tee.
The "Be My Player 2" seems to be from their odd 'Valentines day' kick they went on earlier in 2018. It's an odd slogan/theme to choose because the classic games weren't really known for a ton of 2-player action. Each tee here is 25 dollars in the Sega Shop & is all adults sizes.
Special Operations Unit Tee Logo Sonic You've seen a dark grayish green tee shirt before...
So here's a close up of its small chest side 'patch' graphic / logo. The whole shirt's photo makes the logo too hard to catch the details on. You'll see this design scattered around on bunches of SegaShop Sonic Forces merchandise. It's an elongated oval with ring at the top, emerald at the bottom & Sonic face in the middle. The face is classic, and this time the eye is filled in (usually it is left background-color) The background is slightly 'v' shaped stripes, meant to evoke a feel of a military patch. It says "Special Operations Unit" in curved lettering around the oval.
Because a military or 'boot camp' theme was created to market Sonic Forces, something like this (and it's other military similar designs) are common in the SegaShop in 2018.
Mania Plus Dye Sublimate White Tee This is called the "Sonic Mania Plus Dye Sublimate Tee". "Sublimate" means turn something from a solid to a gas while skipping the liquid stage. And....somehow that makes the dye go onto the shirt better? Tiny Dye Details Sonic Character Faces
Whatever it does, it's capable of doing it in a really small way because those little colored dots you see there are actually repeating character faces for accusing Sonic, yelling Tails, looking Knuckles and...yelling Dr. Eggman? The tiny faces make the shirt look a little polka-dotted at a distance. The tee is about 25 dollars in the Sega Shop in 2018
Polo Shirts Sonic Tails 40 Dollars These are 2 'Polo' shirts.
This means they are made of a different fabric from a tee. It's coarser, with a bit of texture. They also have 1 not-that-useful button & a foldy type collar. What it also means? That each one costs a lot more: These are 40 dollars each.
The Sonic element is small. The Tails shirt is gray with a small, all-embroidery 'sideways facing' Tails face on the upper right chest side. The Sonic one is black (or dark charcoal) with the traditional 2/3 faceing classic face in the same spot, also in all-embroidery.
These are both Sega Shop items in 2018. (But they seem a little expensive, unless maybe 'polo' fabric doesn't wear out? The embroidery is nice though, and since the designs are small, they're an ok way to bring in Subtle Sonic)
Halloween Sonic Dress Up Spooky Tees It's a hauntingly good time with new art!
These spooky Sonic Halloween theme tees have some fun new art in 2 different color themes. The first is orange/gray blue & black, and the other is green purple-gray & black. There's plenty of 'mad science' gear in the background with a giant egg robot, Eggman sneaking along & Metal Sonic menacing the background. The new art goes for Sonic Tails & Knuckles in their Halloween costumes. Sonic is dressed as a vampire with cape, springing out of a coffin. Knuckles is ready for candy with his pumpkin bucket & pirate hat, and Tails is a wooly monster with added eyebrows & fuzzy cuffs for his gloves & socks. It's very good to see some holiday themed all-new modern art. Each tee is 25 dollars in the Sega Shop of fall 2018, and it is adults sizes.
