Sonic Clothing of the USA- Modern Page 46
This page should have 2023 through 2024 Sonic clothes. Watch for great new stock art (From Sega) to appear on these shirts. Both little and big sizes will likely continue. Little sizes are still ok to collect, even if you don't fit into them, because you can still fit the shirt into a frame if you like the design to make it like a poster. However, it should be noted that Kohls, JC Penny, Hot Topic, and FYE are also getting into carrying Sonic shirts. GKWorld may also be getting into shirts as well! You can also shop at the Sonic Gear Clothing Store. .(Gear store actually has a ton of stuff, about 2 pages of it, but it DOES rotate & sell out. |

Amy fans are sure to enjoy this one! It's a solo tee starring Amy with nice cherry petal Sakura flowers and branch, refreshing in aqua and pink. She's in an action pose with her piko hammer in the out of frame/rectangle graphic. Her name is at the top, then spelled out again in cursive kind of over the 'page' for an artsy look. The whole tee is a nice shade of pink too. It's very Amy-like, stylish and there hasn't been anything similar so it's a good one to choose for her fans. It is adult size at Hot Topic in fall 2024, and should be about 15 dollars which is reasonable. |
This is the Girls Oversize Knuckles 94 tee. What makes it oversize (other than purposely buying a large size)? Notice how long the sleeves are in proportion to the rest of it, they're longer than usual. The body section is also somewhat longer than the normal adult size shirt proportion. This is meant to be a touch 90s looking, and it is good to see Knuckles associated with 94 (as Sonic is 91) It's all black with a gritty purple-tone background (city escape maybe?) and his name in contrasting hot yellow-green/wide video-game type font makes this 90s styled to a degree. The Knuckles graphic looks really good in a big size here, very bold. This is another Hot Topic fall 2024 item and is 15 dollars. |
This is the "Knuckles Rings Tube Top". Is this the first tube top of Sonic something? It could be. Why a tube? Because you can...put your body into the fabric tube and then hope it stays there I guess. It's just basically a wide piece of stretchy fabric with no strap nor sleeve (don't get a sun burn) It's all black with only red and gray ink for modern annoyed fist-out Knuckles. It has his name at the top in a sort of 3D font, and some red rings at the bottom. It may spell his name in Japanese up one side...but what's the slogan across him there? The entry at Hot Topic doesn't tell you. (You can write in if you know) This is 20 dollars (less sleeves=more money?) |
Here is the "Toon Rings Sonic Lounge Set" from Hot Topic in fall 2024. It's basically just a comfy casual outfit for pjs or home use with regular shorts and a short tee with straps instead of sleeves. The fabric here is 'lounge soft', and a light pink color. It has an all-over scatter pattern of the same smiling 'old fashion toony-style' classic Sonic and large rings. It's a bit busy, but the graphics are large enough to keep it from being overly so. If you lounge in warm weather, this is 20 dollars. |
This is a pair of "Mom Shorts" which are modeled on the style of the "mom jeans" which is just a specific cut of somewhat high-waisted jeans.
Different cuts for pants/jeans go in and out of style over time, so the 'mom' cut comes in at 2024. Hot Topic takes advantage, and makes a fun pair of classic Sonic & Tails shorts of it. There's a nice and big fun art for Sonic on one leg & Tails on the other. They're partially hidden by the fold at the bottom on purpose. It's a cute pair & Sonic jeans are uncommon. This should be 25 dollars
This is the Pastel Team Sonic tee... And it sort of lives up to the name? The tee itself is pale gray, and "team" is written in pink, but not too much else is pastel about it. The arrangement of characters is slightly unusual, because it has Amy in the star position with Sonic & Knuckles to either side of her, and then surprised/startle looking Tails is flying in the background. There's also a few clouds, some lines and a 'toony' palm tree. The set up is quite classic, with everyone done in a neoclassic pose. A nice one for Amy fans because she's clearly the star here, and it keeps the tee fresh looking. This is an adult tee, and it should be a Hot Topic item at about 18 dollars in summer 2024. |
5 Below gets another Sonic tee...which is of course 5 dollars! A good deal on a kids tee. This is the "Let's Go Fast! Sonic Tee". It's a light yellow, with profile running (Japan style) classic Sonic at the top. His colors are chosen for rectangle/bar speed lines behind him across the front, and the slogan is spelled out in an...older video game style font? In black. Most 5 Belows have a few sections in them with shirts, so you should comb over the whole store to find this if you don't see it right away. This is a summer/fall 2024 item |
These 3 tees are from Target in fall season 2024. They're available online, but will probably also turn up in the store too. They're kids/teens sizes so not super small but may not fit everybody. The first is another of that borderless forward-facing face, but now with a tiny slogan below it "
The middle is quite a bright blue with large full color graphic of nose-touch Sonic & the classic logo. The last is a gray tee with his name across the upper front, but the 'o' is a ring & Sonic is popping out of it. None of these bring anything new to the table graphics-wise, but are ok as standard type tee choices. They're all about 20 dollars each, but Target can have sales.
Another tee from Target, but this one's a bit more fun as it features front and back printing. The front as a stack of circles with classic character faces in them/portraits. The back has the characters' names stacked in the same order, but each one written in large size, different color and different fonts. There are rings and shapes scattered around. The bright colors look nice on the black tee, and it does make the most of the fonts as well. This is a nice one, but still a kids/teens size and about 20 dollars. |
These 2 teas are marked 'for girls' but probably anyone can wear them. (What's the difference? The sleeve length is generally a little shorter, and for the 2nd one the body length is too) The first is the Checker Face Sonic tee, and it has an interesting effect. They set up the checkers of dark/light blue in a radiating way from the middle, and 'textured' the whole full color face with them so it has kind of a 'hypno-design' type of effect. But..what's with the art they chose? That forward-facing face |
is wierd?? Like it looks like the old, inaccurate 'Fleetway' (that uk comic) art where the top of his head was pointy like a pyramid (not their fault at first, the art was based on a sprite that only had proflie) and the spikes at the bottom look strange as well. The 2nd tee is the "Let's Go Sonic Girls Tee". It's sporty styled with the gray sleeves/blue body and little 'v' thing on the collar. It has that 'faux wear' on the design to make it look like 1991 (as the banner behind his head has) There's a phrase in Japanese at the bottom, but what does it say? These are Fall 2024 Target items. |
These tees are for little kids only. Target is also releasing on their fall line toddler/small long sleeve tees with classic style. The first is the "Life in the Fast Lane" tee, which has STK with palm tree and 'magazine cut out font' for the slogan. It has dark navy sleeves with matching collar and white body. All the art here is full color and neoclassic. The blue tee has a neoclassic Sonic art where he's going 'through' a yellow circle background over the full color classic logo. There's nothing super new here, but really little kids don't have a big build up of shirts (natrually) so it doesn't really matter. These are sold as a 2 pack only, and it is 27 dollars. |
Bio World breaking into adult size tees? It looks that way with this, the "Logo Characters Sonic Tee". It's a bright blue tee with STK and the modern logo. It uses the slightly 'riders like' shading for the art which is a bit stark but colorful. Usually Bio World does big kids and teens, but this was marked for adult sizes on Amazon, and the price matches the size at a bit more than usual, which is 20 dollars. This is a fall 2024 item. |
Both of these are called the "Modern Mosaic Sonic Tee"...but can you play 'spot the differences'? Of course there's the color, one's black, the other is navy blue...but desipte it being labeled as 'the same design', it sure isn't because Shadow is omitted from the blue one entirely, and the positions AND poses of the characters are moved, while the Sonic face stays the same. (As do the pixel squares in the background. |
It's very common for designs to appear on multiple different colors/items/etc, and sometimes designs use or omit special inks or added features (a sleeve icon for example) but something like this where the art is clearly changed for mysterious reasons sure isn't common at all. Why pay to rework the design? It is a mystery. Both shirts are 20 dollars and Amazon fall 2024 items. |
Here are 2 new tees from Target, and both are specifically labeled 'for women', but, in this case all that seems to do is cause the body section to be extra long. So really, anybody (adult) can wear it. They're both 'heather' effect, which means that mottled type of fabric, with heather-charcoal gray for a real classic looking one, and heather-gray for a regular Sonic face & classic logo tee. The darker one is super for clasic fans as it has neoclassic art all around with punching forward Sonic, angle Knuckles, jumping Tails, PLUS flying Ray and fist out Mighty. There's Japanese text at the bottom, but what does it say?
Are you ready to enter..."The Pop Dimension"? You can be, with this (apparently a theme) new style for Sonic art. Like other previous art-ideas/themes, several shirts/items will be released in a similar style under the label like that 'graffiti style' and the 'tropical look' that they've done before. This one, of course, uses pop art as inspiration with bright colors, big shapes and slogans. The blue tee is Unstoppable Crew, with STK and a busy background of colorful lines. The red one has "Superpowered |
Echidna" with a forward facing Knuckles portrait and 'camo like' color shapes applied in the background and slightly over it. Every tee in the series is adult sizes and 20 dollars. Target online (only) is hosting the lot of them in fall 2024.
The Pop Dimension continues with a fun Sonic shirt where he & his name art are filled in with colorful rectangles. The Tails tee has him flying forward over a rectangle with his name as the background, but parts of all the art are filled in with chips of colorful shapes. This series has a unique and fun look
so nothing here is going to look like a duplicate in any collection. Good for Target for at least having these available readily online and that they're adults sizes.
Do these look a bit familiar? They may, because they're deliberately biting on the style of that popular but expensive brand "SUPREME" where all it does is write its name in red across an item and sell it. So, in this case, they write Sonic in a similar fashion and then place an art of him in the middle of an otherwise plain shirt. There is a 3rd shirt in the series, it is black and identical to the white one except for the tee color. |
What's interesting here is that they used 2 different Sonic arts depending on the shirt color. The first one is either an old JP art, or a neoclassic variation of it, and the 2nd is an actual classic one from either US or UK. Each one is 20 on Amazon in fall 2024
2 more tees from Target... But these have minimal design for them, despite being 20 dollars each. Look at the left tee though...he's wrongly colored on purpose with too-yellow used for the beige areas, pale odd blue, hot-pinkish shoes, and a red nose...sound familiar? Jakks Pacific deliberately released the 'wrong color figures' who had these exact problems on purpose. What's up with that? What does that represent? Why put it on a tee? It's going to look bootleg. |
The 2nd tee is probably only good if you don't have any Sonic shirts because it's just him standing there 'guarded/ready' pose with his name spelled out in a boring/simple font above him. These are oddly low-effort?
