Sonic Clothing of the USA- Modern Page 48

This page should have even more 2024 through 2025 Sonic clothes.
2024 is a particularly prolific year of Sonic stuff.. Both little and big sizes will likely continue. Little sizes are still ok to collect, even if you don't fit into them, because you can still fit the shirt into a frame if you like the design to make it like a poster. However, it should be noted that Kohls, JC Penny, Hot Topic, and FYE are also getting into carrying Sonic shirts as well as the staples of Amazon, Target & Walmart.

A trio of tees from Hot Topic, these are from possibly 2024 and 2025. There's a classic black one with geometric art background from probably something Sonic Mania, though it isn't Mania branded.

The middle light blue one is the most interesting, as it is party themed/summer themed and may be called "Summer Party". It has party hat Amy, Knuckles, Tails and Sonic celebrating with swirly balloons and confetti. It has no slogans and didn't seem to be released for a certain occaision? The last tee is dark gray, with Sonic, Shadow & Knuckles on there as white only line art. The circle at the top spells out Sonic in Japanese, but what is the vertical writing? Each tee is 20 dollars at Hot Topic in adults sizes.

Even more for Valentines Day 2025?
It seems so with 3 more shirts (Who is buying these and dressing in them for Valentines day? Every year more of these come out but like who is the audience for this?) They use the usual stock art with random love themes pasted over it. You've got Sonic in a lace heart with boquet and slogan "All about Love", the Sonic CD Sonic & Amy art on a pink background and "S+A" , and then Tails makes a return dressed as cupid with his heart bow where it says "Always Loving You"

This is the World Champion Dark Wash Tee.
The 'dark wash' refers to the gray/black textured nature of the fabric. It's a racing style tee, with checkered flag background "World Champion 91" and :"Green Hill Grand Prix" at the bottom with lines and picture of a checkered flag/trophy. The art here is mostly tones of blue, with Sonic and aggrivated Tails, with a race car in the background. It's kind of hard to tell who's car it is/if it is a car from any of the racing games.
This is a good/fitting design for the whole race theme that Hot Topic keeps getting. It's 22 dollars in 2025.

Classic Style Eggman World Is Mine Valentine Tee

Now Eggman gets to star on a Valentines tee.
(But would he want to? It's an odd mix) This is a girls-cut tee (notice the small sleeves) with classic Eggman theme. It has a big face, an uncommon pointing pose for him, and the one where he's sort of hopping. The color theme is all mid red/pink/dark red and the slogan here is "The World Is Mine Valentine", which, while it rhymes is also a little strange. Where was this sold? Likely a 2025 item

Another crop top from Hot Topic, this time it's a solo Shadow 'racing style' tee. It has him in red/black line art for the front with a checkered flag background and his name in a slick font at the top. The back of the shirt is also designed, with his name again in red/futuristic type font. The sleeves are elbow length/long but the torso part is short/belly shirt length...and it goes the extra mile cutting off the art as well for a really 'crop' look. It's good, with a unique look and lots of detail, if you don't mind the cut/style. This is 22 in winter 2025

Another Shadow shirt, this one has an 'off shoulder' style, which means that the neck hole is really big so it goes all the way down to the shoulder area. (What are you supposed to do with your bra straps because this style is clearly in the womens' section but a neck that wide is going to bother those) The shirt is dark gray, and has a "heavy metal bands" type font in silver with "Fearless Shadow" as the slogan. It has the SS Generations art of him dashing forward in front of a textured background. This design is very "Hot Topic" fitting...so of course, it is their exclusive. This tee is also 22 dollars in 2025

These are called "Pixel Profile" tees.
They're more of the style where a character face is collaged in with many different arts of that character in a sort of 'galaxy' mix with dots/etc. (See previous pages for Sonic version of this) The Sonic one clearly succeeded, so here is a classic Eggman tee, and a classic Knuckles. Eggman's main element here ends up being his mustache, which, from a distance looks like it's got confetti on there...probably rather than the intended effect. They put something over Knuckles' eyelid which interrupts the art such that he looks either very sleepy or very skeptical (Which also wasn't the intention)

These are both at Hot Topic, but likely elsewhere too, such as Amazon. They should be about 20 dollars each and are in adults sizes so will fit anyone.

Metal Sonic is the star!
Metal fans can really enjoy both of these tees, because the really uncommon Classic Metal Sonic appears on the one to the left. The art really does look cool and classic. It has him on a circle graph background, with his name and full color logo. Def. a good shirt to collect as this art is super rarely used.

The second tee has various 'nick names'? (I guess) for Modern Metal Sonic, along with line art of him in purple and offset aqua for a sort of 'blur' effect. It says Steel NEmesis, Electrical Hazard, Circuit Breaker, Danger High Voltage. There's also something in Japanese there at the bottom...it doesn't say anything Sonic related...so what is it? Both of these are adults sizes, 20 each, at hot topic in 2025

This is called the Mineral Wash Eggman tee.
The 'mineral wash' refers to the mottled gray/white texture of the fabric and also that it's likely a little thicker than normal tee fabric. Eggman fans will really enjoy this one, as he's the star of the shirt. He's in his explaining a point pose, with his name headlining in the background and the 'Eggman caution icon' square thing is there too.
This is adults size, and 22 dollars as the mineral wash seems to upgrade the quality of the fabric. It is a Hot Topic winter 2025 item

Hot Topic 4 Boyfriend Style Classic Tees

Here are 4 more tees from Winter 2025 at Hot Topic. Each of these is the 'boyfriend cut' which just means the torso section is longer, so anyone can wear it. They're all classic style, and each one is quite different in its design.

The first has bars of color, each with the eyes portion of the face of a classic character. There's a word in Japanese at the bottom but the description doesn't tell you what it is. The brightly colored cast and almost-abstract design makes this an interesting one. The 2nd one is called 'Cyber Sonic' and it has the Japan art of profile running Sonic with his name spelled upward and 'computer looking screen' type designs in the background. It has kind of a 'retro future' feel. The 3rd tee is charcoal dark gray, with a 3-color only art of him where the blue and red areas are black, only the eyes are bright white and everything else is a sort of blue gray. It's an almost 'grayscale' effect, which is interesting enough on a screentone lines background. The last tee is white and unusual, it uses like an 'oppositeization filter' to reverse-ish the colors so wherever was darkest is lightest, and wherever was lightest is now black. The background is red and sort of grayish with zigzags and checkers. Kind of wierd, but at least nothing else is like it. These are all 20 dollars each.

Lampooning laziness while also deliberately being lazy? If you're in the mood for such things at Halloween, Amazon apparently has you covered with this selection of not-that-creative tees.
They're also "POD" which is "Print on Demand", because even Amazon wasn't sure how well they'd do because this is in fact a lazy idea.
Each shirt has a slogan in a different front "This IS my ____ Costume" where it has the character's name and a picture of their mostly forward facing face in the center. The logo is at the bottom, in either classic or modern depending on the rendition of the character. You can get classic or modern Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles or Amy. Rouge & Shadow also appear. Look at the Classic Sonic one though, he has a ring of stars with him, and is the only one with a design on it.

The clothing and fashions brand Stray Rats did a Sonic promotion in 2021. This included lots of tees, shirts, pins, hats, shorts and more. They made many items with many themes both modern and classic. (Like Sonic 1, Sonic CD and Dreamcast stuff too) This grid of 9 things shows some of their variety like a chao themed keychain, Shadow tee, uncommon chao tee and their own logo with "Ratgirl" but there's a chao sitting on it. The lighting sure is strange in some of these photos though.
Each item features their own logo along with Sonic or Sega things. The last shirt has Sonic the Fighters highly polygonal CG on there--is that like the only Fighters tee to exist? It's an interesting selection.

Here are 2 more tees from Stray Rats, and this time at least the lighting is normal on them. The first is their 'flyer poster' but printed onto an all white tee. The text at the bottom is "Sonic Debut June 23 1991". The other tee is dark green with pink/white art of 'DJ Sonic' (from that era of promotrion) with stars, recrods, his name in Japanese, and both logos. This tee was released in at least 2 colors, the first, only white. These are 2021 items.

Stray Rats doesn't leave out much, as they have a solo-chao theme tee here, as well as classic Metal Sonic. The chao tee has the egg & neutral Chao and its slogan is "Chao's Adventure" (the adventure of chao) the 3 color squares are the colors of ink used on the tee.
The Metal Sonic one uses a quite-old (the first?) fully shaded art of him, and has 'metal' written in a metallic font over him. Their logo & the Sonic one is at the bottom.

Stray Rats chooses a seldom-seen theme...Actually, are these the first actual shirts to go to the Sonic the Fighters obscure arcade game? (It sure might be) They create 2 tees for it, a gray one with red art and a red one with the full color poorly polygon Amy sprite from it with distorted-color daisy photos around her. As it's a womens' clothing, it's labeled with Ratgirl in the corner.
The gray tee has Sonic vs Knuckles, and it is set up

kind of like a fight card with icons and "Big Matchup" type text. It's not the game's fault that they're odd looking low-poly things, it was the limits of the technology of the time, but it gives it a distinctive look. These are interesting to see.

Two more tees, with a more logo focus. The first uses that cute Japanese art for sitting Tails, and sets him on a toony-font version of the Stray Rats logo, with Sonic and Eggman 'dolly style' small/scattered on top of it.
The 2nd tee has classic Sonic in front of the "SR" logo in lettermans' font with stars, along with the classic Sonic logo. The slogan here is "You must stray 2 exist!"

Stray Rats makes 2 'work shirts', these are button front adult sizes shirts with small collars and short sleeves. Each one has the same quite-large line art on the front. It's 2 poses for Japanese art running classic Sonic, but they are slightly overlapped and cut off at the edges on purpose. This kind of makes him a bit abstract. The first is tan with magenta lines, and the 2nd is black with white lines. These are an interesting fashion look, different from lots of other stuff in both shirt choice and art.
