Movie Live Action Sonic Clothing & Accessories (That I don't approve of) |

After the art fiasco that set the internet ablaze with flames for 'bad design' (true) in 2019 the "Sonic Movie" live action Hollywood production went back to the 'drawing board' and re-made the hideous hedgehog into something more akin to a friendly hairy bigfoot troll that happens to be blue. People seemed to like this better, and so merchandise moved ahead. However it's #NotMySonic so, like bandana and sports tape loving Boom Sonic (And poor Stupid BoomKnuckles) the merchandise must all get corralled away onto a special page/set so as to keep it from contaminating other items. This is that page--but for clothing and accessories. Which is still somehow going in 2025 with Movie 3 so here comes more. Movie Clothing 1 * Movie Clothing 2 * |

For Movie 3 Amazon lets out tons of tees to hype it up. Fortunately, it placed them all in one spot so that anyone looking could see/get any they wanted. This first batch is all black with that 'paralellogram' type design that the movie stuff likes to use. The first is just Tails, the 2nd is him with "Let's make this count" slogan, next is Sonic "The Blue Blur", an STK portraits one, and then him again with "I'm totally faster". |

The next set of tees brings 9 more, each with individual styles and no CG art at all. The first has Tails with slogan "Energy Readings are off the chart" the next is "I'm nothing like you" Shadow but done as sketch/color half, STK in splash color, a Shadow with lightening bolts/life form, running Sonic with "I'm the red shoe rocket", STK with Brains Brawn Speed words surrounding the faces, Sonic in a swirl, Knuckles with "Let's break something" & Sonic & Tails art is last. | |||||||||||||

The next set of 9 are all slogan tees, and they're also all in black (and CG, except the first one, oddly enough) Ultimate Life form Shadow, Fueled by Chaos Shadow, Knuckles with "Give me some Knuckles" , Sonic & Tails with "Sonic's Hype Man", Shadow "This Ends Now, Knuckles "Fists First", Tails "Master Hacker", STK "Hero Trio" and Shadow "Chaos never looked so good".

Famous shoe maker Reebok does a Movie 3 promotion by releasing a whole series of themed shoes in late 2024, 2025. They fall more into the 'subtle Sonic' type, where the shoes have little details that you have to kind of look for, in order to tell that it is a Sonic item. This is more 'fine for every-day wear' rather than costume wear or collectible prop type items where it looks exactly like the thing from games or 'a kids shoe with pictures on it'. These are all adults sizes (very good) so anyone can choose them. The first pair is this Sonic themed one, of course it's blue with white for the Reebok logo area and most of the sole. The bottom of the sole though is red, as are the wedge-cut details in the edges of the thick part. The tongue has GHZ checkers, and a small green bar (for the grass on top) with the logo on it. The back has more checkering, and a metal gold ring loop decoration with which to help pull the shoe on. It's a regular lace up sneaker. |

Interestingly, they made 2 shoes for Sonic on the set (and apparently none for Shadow? Although he was allegedly to be the big draw for the 3rd movie?) This pair is somewhat opposite the above one, where the main shoe is white, and then the Reebok logo area is blue (With kind of marble effect on it) It's got the same GHZ tongue area, and back of shoe strap things, but this pair does not have the gold ring on the loop to pull. These are less Sonic-like than the above pair. Obviously these are factory photos, but do you notice an inconsistency? Why is the bottom pair different from the top, and which pair actually got released? The bottom pair has semi transparent rubber for the sole, and no blue under-sole traction area at all. It also looks like the top back heel part of the shoe is a slightly different, more squared-off shape. There would be no reason to create 3 pairs of super-similar shoes...so this seems a little strange. |

Tails, of course, should also have a shoe. Reebok delivers it with this almost all Tails colored pair. It's also in the 'very subtle' category of design. There's a teeny tiny Sonic face (little blue speck on the side there), the usual checkered tongue and then 2 suede tails that hang down on the heel part of the shoe. The area above has a stamped/inset face for him. They're using the suede texture stuff to indicate how fuzzy the character was as he was very hairy in the movies. This one is still a sneaker, but the style is more like that of a walking type sneaker than the Sonic ones above. |

A shoe for Knuckles too! This one is almost ouf of the sneaker category, more like a regular just flat shoe with rubber sole. Flat indoor tread in red on the bottom, and lower rise on the sides. Ironically, this one looks more 'Sonic like' than the Sonic shoe because it is a red shoe with white sole and white stripe on the side. For this one, they use that suede material over the whole things, so the entire shoe is kind of...hairy looking. (This stuff can get dirty easily, it takes special care to keep suede items so be sure to learn about it even if their suede isn't real because it's different) The details here are the tiny Sonic face next to the logo (on the side of the shoe), the tongue, and then the back has a wide white area with 2 small rubber cones for his fist spikes. |

In all, the shoes are actually pretty creative for a big company like that. It's also very interesting to see just HOW many collabs Sonic is getting (movie or not) with absolutely major world-wide brands going out of their way to make stuff for the franchise. It's also interesting to see what the creative design there was able to come up with for a 'mass market' shoe line like this one. |

This Movie 3 tee is found at Kohls stores in summer/spring 2025 It's the Crew Neck Sonic Movie Wanna Race? Tee. It's fairly typical for a movie design, with the characters' forward-faces and the slogan in the center with some scribble/lightening shapes for the background/interest. This is likely to be a Kohls exclusive, as that's all the branding that this has. It's a kids/teens size, so the larger ones may fit adults. This should be about 12 dollars, but the store has sales randomly so it may be more or less when you go. |
