Sonic the Hedgehog Shoes Page 1
Sonic may be known for his iconic red shoes, but you can be known for Sonic theme shoes if you can get or wear items from this page! This is all about Sonic Shoes in the UK. This can include sneakers, sandalas, slides, boots or anything else for in & outdoor wear. Shoes are NOT specific for boys or girls, anyone can wear any style. There are adults & kids sizes shown here as well. If it is known where to buy the pair, it'll be in with the item's listing as usual.
Shoes are a cool collectible, though they can often be a bit costly. Sometimes they sell out fast, or are hard to find. Being fairly large, they're good for display, but if they've been worn, care has to be taken to make sure they don't deteriorate.

This pair of slippers isn't nostalgic nor corney. By not involving big fake plush heads or sewing half a doll to the toe of a shoe, these sturdy slippers look more like 'house shoes'. They have a black, blue & gray theme, with some nice scattered gray squares for the background. The Sonic graphic is a CG piece, but it's made on a tough plastic (so it's shiny as you can see) decal type item that is sewn on so it won't just peel away. A few shirts used something similar, and it tended to work out well. These are in kids sizes, unknown if the largest size may fit an average foot. These can be found at Sainsburys for 7 pounds in the fall of 2011. Photo by Shadouge.
Sainsbury's Sonic Plastic Graphic Slippers
Byland Slippers Kids Modern Blue Still more slippers...this time just for kids by Byland.
This pair looks more like regular/outdoor 'keds' type shoes, however. They have a shoe like textured blue rubber sole, those stretchy band/curves on the sides and normal fabric uppers. There's a large full color art for jumping/twist modern Sonic across the whole front/top, and the modern logo on the outer side. The interior is red, and all borders are blue.
This is a stylish enough pair, if you could really call it a house-slipper. The art is nice, nothing is goofy or 'babyish', they look like a product that would last. These are probably Sega Shop EU exclusives.
Sonic Wellington Rain Boot Kids This is a pair of kids wellington boots. They're an all-rubber rain boot with cool Sonic theme. It uses new 2011 Sonic art nice & big on the sides, with the modern logo. The tag has the license info & that it was made by William Lamb Footwear. You can get these in fall 2011 at Wellington Boot Sonic Tag William Lamb
Sainsbury's for about 9 pounds, however, do watch out because they're all small. Look at the pair sitting on the hand, that's not likely to fit anyone which is too bad. Photos by Bianca Nishitani & Shadouge
This is a pair of classic sneakers, likely from 1991. They're a little bit 'Converse' style (with rubber toe, smooth thick track & canvas uppers) but they don't really have a name brand. They are, however, quite detailed. The Sonic image is a stamped on fabric paint, the rings are made with gold thread embroidery,
and there are little spinning & running Sonic stock arts all along the red part of the shoe base. The laces likely were Sonic branded as well (looks like either his name or the logo) These may have been available at BHS in kids sizes. These shoes are uncommon. Photo & owned by Bianca Nishitani
Sonic Shoe theme slippers 2 pairs Two different fun pairs of slippers, both themed after Sonic's shoes! The left pair is more of a 'costume' type, with the stuffed socks and the plush/oversize uppers. They have a black rubber sole, and the white band/buckle is a 3D item with real plastic. The other pair is more of a slip-on slipper. The band/buckle for these is simply printed on. These don't include the white sock part, but they have the same thick/quality rubber sole. This pair has the classic logo printed on the inside in the heel area.
Both of these are great. The 2nd pair could have a hand made big/white sock part added and easily become part of a costume. The quality soles mean that they're not going to slide around in the house, or wear out quickly. A good sole on a slipper also helps it keep its shape. These are probably Sega Shop EU exclusives. They are in adults sizes/fits anyone. (Which is a bit too bad because probably America would buy these too)
Opinion Zone:
Excellent! I LOVE items that are directly from the games or shows. The Knuckles' gloves, chaos emerald items...these slippers, they're all top notch. It's one thing to collect stuff with "a picture of thing you like" on there, but another to have actual props from movies/shows or games. This fits right in!
Kids 2 Pair UK Sonic Face theme Slippers Here are 2 pairs of different face themed slippers for little kids that were released at the same time in 2022.
The top pair has classic forward facing Sonic face for the whole top of the slipper, but he has pop up cloth ears as a fun detail. The back has the classic logo embroidered on. The interiors are red and they're just elastic. Looking at the proportions, you can see it's only for little kids feet.
The 2nd pair is the usual 'wacky' "Sonic's entire head is the shoe" plush doll type slippers. They have 3D stuffed classic faces for the slipper toe, and the base/sole is blue. These are decently enough patterned, the faces do look ok.
Sonic X Soft Shoe Slipper type This looks like more of a 'house shoe' rather than a regular slipper. These have fuzzy textured fabric, and checkered toes. A plastic-like jumping-punch Sonic X stock art is on the front/top of each one. These are by NEXT & likely Sonic PROJECT due to the tag. Photographed & owned by Kari
Sonic & Knuckles Sneaker Shoe Box Someone finds a shoe box...but not the shoes?
That's the case here with this vintage 1990s Sonic & Knuckles shoe box. Supposedly, it had a pair of sneakers...but what did they look like? This also COULD be a USA/UK release where you might have (breifly) been able to find them in both places. The art for the box is everywhere, with the lid made to look like a brick wall. It has a bit of strange art going on though. Knuckles is punching through the wall but he has kind of small fists and his arms in a really wierd position? Then, Sonic is obviously modified stock art but they kind of modified him into being worse...look at the tiny hands and then the arms look like they're coming out of his neck? What is he supposed to be doing? The Sega & S&K logos appear at the top and bottom of the lid.
The bottom part of the box is designed too. It has the S&K symbol on the end and a sky scene on the side. It looks like there's maybe surf board Sonic there? But then what is Robotnick doing flying around? What is he even doing? Aside from the wacky art, this shoe box is a mystery because what did the shoes look like, where was it really released, and what company made them are all unanswered.
Sonic & Knuckles Wellington Boots Here's another great rare item: Sonic & Knuckles Boots!
These are solid rubber rain boots, called Wellington Boots. Usually boots are such a plain thing, but the S&K symbol can make anything stylish! It's nice and big on the side of each one, with the name too, all done in shiny plastic. These are uncommon. Photo by Rhia.
3 pair Sonic theme sneakers shoes Here are 3 pairs of Sonic theme sneakers. Where is the middle one? In the fold of the magazine. The first shoe is really rather bright, all in red with blue accents. The laces have the word "Sonic" on them, with little sihlouettes too. The middle shoe is clearly black with a blue trim and red accents...it also looks to have running Sonic on the side. The final shoe seems the most plain, all in white, with little bits of red and a Sonic on the side. The tounge of this one appears to say "Sonic the Hedgehog" though it might be hard to tell if the shoes were being worn at the time. Available at Clarks in 1994. Photo credit Ricky Lee
Sonic Shoe Theme Slippers Rather than plastering pictures of Sonic all over something, they've now done one better and modeled a pair of house-slippers after his shoes! These big, fluffy slippers will let you wear plush-toy-Sonic like shoes all around the house. They've even got his buckle and socks to keep your ankles warm. By far these are the least-mutant and classiest Sonic slippers ever made. They should be available in 2009 from Sega Prizes Europe (also responsible for some plushes) Photo by Sega Europe, discovered by Fueledbychaos
Sonic Face Screen Wellington Boots This is a pair of clark-wellington boots from 1992. It was likely made before the S&K boots seen above, but they're still all-rubber to protect from the rain. The design consists of little 'screens' with pictures of Sonic's face on them. The Sonic face is the foreward facing one that was popular in the 1990s in the UK. It also has the Sonic logo at the top. The design for these is just ok...in that it is rather small compared to the boot and it looks like most of the detail went into the frame rather than adding more 'Sonic' to them. Still, these are a rather unusual collectible and are interesting to see. Photo by Scavenger4food.
Sonic face embroidered slippers This is a pair of Sonic house slippers. They're made to look retro, with the classic facing foreward/wink Sonic face, but they are actually modern, released in 2010. The face is all embroidery, which is actually really neat/quality, since it's such a large space to have to stitch. (makes it sturdy, more like a patch) The Sonic classic logo in the heel is also likely embroidered on. These can be bought from EbayUK for about 7.99 pound, but they have to be being sold elsewhere as well...

Cortina Trainers STK UK Sneaker The company Cortina gets a modern Sonic license, and uses it to make these STK Trio Trainers sneakers. (As it is not the USA, the sneaker shoe is often called Trainer in UK area) They choose the mad/determination look for all 3 characters, on the outside of the shoe. Notice that the sole is decorated too, the heel area is striped red/blue with stars and the "S" logo. The veclro strap has the modern logo on it as well. These are for little kids sizes only, as expected with the dual closure of laces/velcro to make it easy for them. It's stylish enough and should be appealing with 3 favorite characters. It seems too costly though at 30 pounds? Little kids with this sizes don't use shoes that long before growing out of it.
Riva Sonic Shoe UK Another company Riva Shoes gets a sneaker, but this time its only for toddlers. This has a swirly dark blue background, running modern Sonic art and some 4 point stars. The designed part is all tough nylon cloth so Sonic is printed on there. These have 2 velcro straps for the closure, the bottom one with his name on it. Price is unknown but it is a summer 2025 item.
Shoe Zone UK Trainer The Shoe Zone, while being very appropriate for something Sonic, is unknown whether its a store or the brand that's making these. While the Sonic element is more subtle here (just a partial face on one side and his name on the strap), the shoe itself sure isn't: it's sprayed with hot green, black and blue with swirls, and structural stripes all over the place. It comes across as slightly loud. These are called Sonic Kids Trainers, which is a bit generic, but the proportion and 'kid' label shows its not just for toddler/tiny kids. This is a 2025 item
Allover Print Trainer Sonic Blue
This is the Allover Print Sonic Trainer, but where is it sold? It's little kids only, as you can see by the proportions and velcro only closure. It lives up to the name, with the whole fabric of the shoe patterned with Sonic silouettes, speed chevrons, shoe shapes, logos, rings, and the letter S. The heel area has the modern logo in color on the band. A fun touch is that the top velcro strap has a large Sonic face on the pull part. Nicely designed, they'll appeal to kids and be easy to use. How much might it cost?
Black Trainer Sonic Shoe 20 Here is a pair of bigger kids (but still too small for teens) black Trainers. They have a velcro and stretchy cord closure, rather than regular laces. The Sonic element here is the Sonic X style-similar portrait on the outer side of the shoe. The velcro strap has the modern logo in full color, as a raised/rubberized texture. They're stylish without being over the top. These are 20 pound, but where are they sold?
Flashes Lights UK Sonic Shoes These are described as the Flashing Lights Sonic Shoes, but it doesn't show where they may light up. Presumably it's the blue area of the heel. These are more little kids (but not toddler) shoes, with double velcro strap closure. One strap has his name, the other a face symbol. The Sonic design here is nice and big, on the outside of the shoe. It has running modern Sonic with a blue splash background and a scattering of rings. This should be 20 pound, but where is it sold?
