Individual / Misc. Sonic Trading Cards, Decks & Games
The cards on this page may be for collecting, or card games. This may include promotional items, actual decks of playing cards, card-based games or other card type accessory/collecting items. However, just because they're not a game or set, it doesn't mean you can't collect and trade them too! If you are looking for greeting cards/birthday, that is on Party Supplies instead.
Magic the Gathering Large Card Art
Perhaps the most famous card game of all, Magic The Gathering, somehow adds real Sonic cards to its set? In an 'expansision' of sorts called "Secret Lair" other franchises can be added to the game, and they got Sonic as one of them. Of course, the steadfast community of MTG has many arguments over what sorts of expansions should and shouldn't be official things, aaaand this is one of them. However, as an official product it has to be shown here on Gear so you can see what the cards look like and what they have to say about the characters and what they do in the game when you play them. This image is extra big so that you can read the cards.
It appears that different artists were chosen for the cards, as you can see different styles represented here (this is also typical of MTG) You can collect Knuckles, Amy, Eggman, Super Sonic, Tails, Shadow and Sonic as a playable card.
Magic the Gathering Chaos Emerald Collection Magic the Gathering series of cards didn't stop with the character cards seen above, they then added the Chaos Emerald Cards, plus a Master Emerald Shrine card. These are foils, so they are shiny, as fitting for the emeralds. It seems like the colors of emeralds are labeled/there are 7 of them but they all work similarly to each other. Do they do something when you get all 7 of them into your hand? Are foil magic cards more collectible than normal, depsite these not having a 'non foil' version?
Foil Cards MTG Actions Set The cards just keep coming. (As seems to be the way with card games, if something succeeds, then they just release more and more items for whatever that wave is) In this case, it's a bunch of foil cards, which in this case means that htey have a rainbow sheen that is pretty smooth.
These seem to be action type cards such as Generous Gift, Open Armory, Fabricate, Deadly Dispute, Unexpected Windfall, Sol Ring and Treasure.

The image here is the original size so you can still mostly read them. Somehow, some of the text looks pixelated though.
