Sonic the Hedghog USA Plush Title
Sonic the Hedgehog Plush Dolls USA Page 22 - Modern Plushes
This page has only MODERN (post-Sonic Adventure-era from 2010 and onward) plush dolls.
This page will have a focus on 2023-2025 plushes, likely from GE Entertainment, KidRobot, JakksPacific, Toy Factory and more. With plushes showing up at offline retail stores and online at more places like Amazon & Target plush availability seems to be on the rise.
Tubbz Duck Sonic Plush Oh now here's a frusterating one.
This is the Tubbz Ducky Duck Sonic plush. Whoever Tubbz has that's cutting the patterns for their plush is clearly top notch and it's annoying because it's a duck! Like, the sculpt, the shape, the materials and the accuracy of all the non-duck parts of this thing are really good--they beat the dolls that we have now that are supposed to be actual-Sonic not "a cosplaying duck" so like, please apply your talents to an actual Sonic item?
Look at the 3D beak shape, it even has nostrils. The wing is perfectly set up in 3D and even has a cuff for the little 'glove' The ears are properly shaped and stand up. The embroidery is nice all around and the plush sits quite well. Where is this sold?
Tubbz Duck Eggman Plush If the Sonic Tubbz Ducky Plush was good, the Eggman one is even better.
Look at all the attention to detail on the famous mustache! NO Eggman doll has ever even given him that good of attention yet this duck somehow does? The goggles are even silvery fabric, fully 3D real accessory. The use of embroidery for the glasses/shine is also perfect. The beak shape is better than most/many (dedicated bird plushes), and the outfit doesn't miss a beat at all and is literally a sewn-on thing the body isn't the outfit (so it is even more quality) It even has 'meanie brows' if you look closely. Look at the 3D collar too. These Tubbz guys are knocking it out of the park on these...if you like ducks...
Squishmallows Blindbag Scented Ice Cream Plush
There isn't really a section for "Sonic Strangeness", but maybe there ought to be. These aren't mutant because the faces are pretty normal (for a squishmallow) but the whole thing is just wierd.
This is a set of "Scented Ice Cream Themed Character Squishmallows Blind Bag Minis". (now there's a title for you) There are 6 to collect, and you can get Shadow, Rouge, Sonic, Knuckles, Tails or Amy. Each one is a color-themed character head/neck area seated in a 'waffle cone' rounded bowl like base. It's sewn together/that waffle cone fabric is just the bottom half of the plush. Each character has a cherry on top of its head, with syrup and sprinkles. Rouge gets to keep her wings, and it looks like the Tails one has tails. They're not monochrome, but they are mono color(ish) each one just using different shades of the main color for the details (So like Shadow is all browns, Rouge is all purples including areas like lower face that shouldn't be, etc) to show that they are not 'the character' but a treat based on it. They're 13 dollars each, which is fairly pricey for something blind bagged. These are confirmed at Hot Topic
Squishmallows Holding Design Sonic Shadow Squishmallows makes more pillow type rounded characters, this time with the arms drawn on to be holding an item. They're still only minorly detailed, with stumpy spikes, no legs and small ears. Shadow looks aggrivated while holding the green chaos emerald and Sonic is cheerfully holding a ring. Their 'style' of circle eyes with no highlights, ever set in a dead eyed staring position is once again present here. These are fairly large, so they're 19 dollars each, confirmed at Hot Topic.
Squishmallows Seasonal 4 Sonic Plushes Squishmallows continues the 'holding a thing' theme...because there's not a lot else you can do with a rock shaped limbless plush with purposefully minimized detail.
Here, you can see aggrivated expression Knuckles with the blue Chaos Emerald, and Sonic
who is holding a heart shape. (Likely for valentines day 2025) They also did 'winter theme' Sonic and Tails, where each one has a scarf drawn on (no arms) and the Tails has a 3D headband with reindeer antlers. (With red/green scarves and the antlers, these are clearly an effort at Christmas) Each one is their usual fairly large size and should be about 19 dollars.
Better Together Hallmark Plush Pair These are the "Better Together" Hallmark Sonic & Tails plushes. They feature a magnet inside so that they'll literally 'stick together', which is a fun gimmick. They're about 5 inches tall, and it is 23 dollars for the pair (because Hallmark stuff regardless of size tends to be slightly higher price)
Do these kind of look like what a Ditto would make if it was copying them? They're supposed to be yet another 'cutie pie chibi style' little big-heads thing without being those 'Sonic n' friends Emoji' styles either. With embroidered features, dot eyes and cheeck blush, they're simplified--kind of wierd, but if you don't mind the style they'll be at Hallmark shops in 2025
Valentines 2025 Squishmallows Sonic Knuckles For Valentines Day 2025, Squishmallows released a Sonic and a Knuckles, each holding a Valentine heart. They do catch the detail of embroidering on the spikes for Knuckles' hands, and the different shape of his nose. Notice his heart shape is pink rather than red so it won't blend into him. It's also less common to see him just smiling normally, not looking aggrivated.
Opinion Zone:
WHY are squishmallows the plush equivelent of those endless damnable pops?? These dead-eyed zombie pill shaped nonsense pillow people of the characters. SIGH.
GEE SD Metal Sonic Plush GEE Plush returns (they did that Egg o Matic) with a Metal Sonic plush in their "SD" (Super deformed) style. So, another 'little big-heads', type to collect. This one is sitting only, as the legs are sewn to the front of the torso and it will have a triangle/flat big butt area for stability. This is about 7 inches high and should retail for about 26 dollars. However, they didn't specify where its supposed to be sold. This is a spring 2025 item.
It looks ok...for a big head thing. The ears are flat but do stand up, they did bother with the shoe and bolt detail for the legs. The hands are flat flappy felts, but for some reason are really big? Like look at the size of the fingers. (It does have the shoulder guards) Usually when 'chibi' or whatever is in play the limbs/hands/feet are minimized and small/simple, but this one does not do that.
E-102 Gamma Plush Hot Topic An uncommon character, and the plush is uncommonly good!
Here's an E-102 Gamma plush spotted at Hot Topic in spring 2025. As he only appeared in Sonic Adventure 1, and is also one of the very few characters who died/stayed deceased, anything to do with it is uncommon. So, it's nice to see the character again as a plush. Stuffed robots in general are also uncommon.
They did a good job with him though, the mini camera head/thing is there, the 3 fingers look fine, the color areas between the 'toes' of the feet, that belt plate thing that hangs down, and the gun arm/joints all look good. This is a factory photo, and th eonly one they had so there are no turn arounds. It's reasonably priced at 27 dollars as well, as it is fairly large.
DC Crossover Plush Costume Characters In 2025, Sega did a deal with DC Comics to 'crossover the characters' from modern Sonic into the DC universe to see super heroes. Of course, this is also a huge merchandising grab so they will dress the Sonic characters as whatever hero they think best fit the character.
And, none of these plushes are happy about it.
There's Shadow as Batman, Silver as Green Lantern, Knuckles as Superman, and Sonic as The Flash. These aren't very large, as they are 10 dollars each.
The caped characters do have their capes, and all of the super symbols are in place. Their sculpts are ok, certainly better than things in the past...Knuckles' head is a bit funky, Silvers boots are puffy, and Sonic just looks...a bit strange. They're reasonably priced enough that if the crossover is your thing/a favorite hero, they're probably all right to get. These debut at SDCC 2025, and IGN took this factory looking photo.
Great Eastern 2025 Plush Deadly 6
Great Eastern is back with an unusual set of picks in 2025.
This photo shows their planned characters for fall/winter release and we get...well half of the Deadly Six? They're set to release Zazz the aggressive/crazy one, Zeena the serious/vanity one and Zor the comically gloomy/spying one...complete with his gloomy gothic blue rose and fingerless fashion gloves. The Lost Hex Zeti villains are an interesting choice to keep the character list going of exotic plushes to collect.
They didn't stop there though, you can also get Bean the Dynamite Duck from Sonic the Fighters, with his velcro-detatchable bomb for him to throw and to stick to his hand. Oddly also is Mimic Octopus from the IDW comics which is probably set to go as a convention type item or some kind of 'comic line' as he is not from games etc.
As is their usual, all of the characters do look pretty much like the art, and they maintain the details like Bean's bandanna, bracelets for Zazz, and Zor's rose. Everybody's well enough done, but how they'll sell is unknown because it's a run of mostly obscure characters.
*The Zeti were only in like 2 games, and are all dead and were obnoxious while alive. They weren't like the 'admirable cool villain' like some characters can be. (Nor were they supposed to be: they did their job well in the plot/were fine as they are) A comic only character who seriously doesn't look at all like what species he's listed as/fan amount is unknown. Hopefully these all do well enough for fans of the characters.
