Whether it's pop-up, seasonal, or permenent...if Sonic appears it's a Sonic Fan Place. Being able to take a look at banners, promotional events, conventions and more that are Sonic focused without having to actually attend is what this page is all about. This includes Sonic related events too, like contests, releases, trade shows or conventions, parties, anniversaries or anything else that was a temporary gathering to celebrate something Sonic. |

It's the Tokyo Games Show 2024! And, of course Sega has to have a big booth to promote Sonic Shadow Generations, and this really does the job with a big presentation. There's the famous customized motorcycle (that had been on tour in various countries before this) on its stand, a TV to show the game clips, giant poster walls and a huge inflatable parade-float style Shadow figure as the real big draw. |

This works the same way as a parade float item, but it's filled with regular air so it doesn't fly up or anything, and is simply cabled to the floor so that it acts like a giant light weight statue that's easy to put up and take down. The patterning for this is obviously really good, it's quite on model despite being large and hollow. It clearly keeps the fist up pose well, and looks good both close and from a distance. The booth seems likely to have done well. |

From the other side of the booth, you can see a Sonic Rumble poster wall with giant art and a big TV to show the game. (You can see the top of the giant Shadow from above over the top of the poster wall) This is a good big ad for their mobile only game, showing everyone racing for a ring (And we've got Zavok in there somehow despite supposedly the Zeti being...whatevered away) Tails has fallen all the way down, Knuckles loses his rings and Big seems to be allowed to move his eyes around. |

Here are some Standees produced for Sonic Shadow Generations. They're set up here in a Sega HQ with a ring for the background and game demo tvs. They may have been made for SS Gens, there's nothing that seems Gens specific about them. The names/font uses the SA1 styling. (Also Shadow's name should/usually appears in black, but it's red here)
In the famous Shinjuku train station these 2 giant billboards appear for Sonic Shadow Generations. (These are really big, its a long hall these appear in, they're floor to ceiling) There's one on each side, a Sonic theme, and a Shadow theme, but both are a bit ominous with villian presence and the heroes going toward them into the background. What's that gray box though? The whole thing is in Japanese. (Info may be added if it's figured out what this is)
Journeys Canteen becomes a Sonic place with this menu. These digital menu boards show a promotional menu for Sonic Shadow Generations. (Top left) As is the usual with this, there are plenty of character inspired foods to go around. They are labeled...but you can't read it, of course. There's the Sonic chilidog with onion rings, Shadow black rice with red pepper something, Tails has a yellow item with wedges, Knuckles goes on pasta with red tomatos, theres a Chao themed blue drink & Amy gets a strawberry dessert with pink cream topping. |

Pop Up Cafes are popular in Japan, but catching on elsewhere too. This one clearly specializes in hot dogs/chili dogs, and more Sonic paper packaging. There are sauces to go with it, and drinks too. You can see the storefront in the background with decorated windows. As the presentation here (hot dog boxes/onion ring box etc) are similar to the USA cafes, the menu is probably also pretty similar too. The person who took the photo OR the person IN the photo is Kazuyuki. |

This poster wall is presumably an ad that appeared somewhere in Japan. It's a sort of collaborative effort of Sonic Shadow Generations and Samsung Solid State Hard Drives (as evidenced by their logos at the top. It's clearly really big, reaching all the way to the ceiling/lights area from the tile floor wherever it is placed. This may make the CG character art life size, or about that? (Depending how tall we thing Dr Gerald is) Blackdoom is menacing in the background (as he hovers/has no legs), Dr Gerald is shown thinking, Maria is standing there, and Modern Sonic/Shadow and Classic Sonic are in the front. It's a good, big statement piece that would be sure to draw attention. (Location pending someone actually finding this) |
