Use 'em at home or at school, Sonic school supplies are great. They're also pretty collectible, because they often feature many different characters & are generally inexpensive upon release. This page will have ONLY modern supplies. If you don't need school, and just need some place to store your gear, why not try handy boxes, totes, school bags and binders? For Fall 2024 back to school season, Innovative Designs makes this fun faces erasers 4 pack. Each eraser is shaped like a flat icon of the characters' head. You get Knuckles on purple, Sonic on green, Tails on blue and Shadow on red. The faces are painted on the surface. This type of eraser is more ideal for collecting than it is using, because it's too hard to use it without

ruining the design. These are available at Office Max Depot in the 'characters school supply section' which they have added in 2024 (Features others like Mario, Kirby, and more so it's pretty big and easier to find, which is nice)

Innovative Designs also makes a 3 ring binder folder to hold your papers (or Sonic art) It's the "Team Sonic" folder, but the back is all about Eggman!
The front has action poses for Sonic, Tails & Knuckles with rings, GHZ like background and some caution stripes. The back though has a screen shot

of Chemical Plant Zone with giant art of pointing eggman over it, his "The world is mine" slogan, and the Eggman logo gizmo there at the bottom corner. Look in the middle of the photo for the inset: The pocket of the folder has 100% coverage of colored geometric shapes and scattered character art peeking out from between the pattern. This is a nicely designed and fresh looking folder. Lots of good content here. This is definetely recommended to buy because it's only like 2 dollars. Another Office Max Depot item for fall 2024

Classic Style All-over Canvas Backpack Lunch Box

Old Navy is taking Back to School with Sonic seriously in 2024.
They start off with this allover print classic style school bag & soft sides lunch carrier. (But they also have tees and sweatshirts too) The pattern is the same for both items so they're a perfect match. The allover print has a scattering of classic Japan-style (and not) as well as neoclassic Sonic arts and blue squares. Each has black zippers and straps. The classic logo is white embroidered on a black rectangle background for both. The bag does have mesh pockets on the sides as well as a front pocket. This is all matte nylon type fabric.
The school bag is 30 while the lunch box is 20. (Though things do go on sale every so often there)

This is the Sonic Composition Notebook by Innovative Designs. It's another item available at Office Max Depot in fall of 2024.
This is a NON-spiral notebook that has that usual black bar binding (usually on marble-notes) The front has "Unstoppable Sonic Let's Go", 3 arts of him, and outlines of rings on a black background. The back has a sort of 'shatter pattern' blues background with a busy pattern on top of various Sonic arts/poses, rings, speed lines and "I'm Outta Here" slogan. It is reasonably priced at about 3 dollars. It is full of the usual lined paper sheets. The covers are hard card.

This is the contents of one of those big cardboard case Sonic 'art sets' that appears on Amazon and sometings at Burlington department stores. Sometimes it's a 'kit' or a 'set' but it's usually

in a large cardboard presentation. This one seems fairly deluxe as it has branded markers with characters all over them, crayons with checkers & Sonic on each one, as well as a coloring book, note pad, spiral note, and 4 sheets of small stickers.
The coloring book has fun and big line art (Have more fun with it by putting it in the copier first!) the note book (I'm Outta here) has a Sonic art in the corner on unlined pages, and the Green Hill Adventurers spiral note also has a Sonic at the corner of each page.

The sticker sheets are quite busy as they waste no space and cram each one with tons of tiny stickers. Notice there are uncommon things going on here too, like Chaos Zero, Infinite Jackal, lots of Chaotix stuff, various Chao, Eggman sevearal times, Metal Sonic, Silver (who is generally under represented in stickers) and faces/portraits in various sizes. This can all be had for about 9 dollars which is quite reasonable if you find it at Burlington. This is a summer/fall 2024 item.

Two more nice items from Innovative Designs: A pen with topper & a canvas tough pencil case. The pen above is light blue with the modern logo in white on the side. It has a normal cap on the end, but it has a large flat rubber modern forward/facing Sonic face on the end of the pen. This likely isn't removable (Which is good) It likely makes the pen pretty heavy though.
The pencil case is well thought out. It has metal grommets to keep it secure in a 3-ring binder all year. It's made of that nylon canvas type material. There's a plastic/clear big logo for the back and "Unstoppable Sonic Let's Go" with 3 arts of him for the front. The interior has no Sonic element, but uses velcro and zippers plush mesh to stick shut and create compartments. It's a nice item and both are reasonably priced. (Pen about 2 dollars, case about 4) These are in the SonicGear collection

Innovative Design's Office Max Depot run finishes out for fall 2024 with this Seaside Hill spiral notebook. It's great to see a different level actually getting featured on merchandise. It keeps things fresher. There are scenes from the level in the background, the name down the side, "Let's Roll" slogan and hand-forward large Sonic on there.
The back has speed boost chevrons, angle lines and lots of character faces (all faced forward) You can see Blaze, Amy, Silver, Knuckles, Shadow, Metal Sonic, Eggman, Infinite, Sonic, Tails and even a tiny Dark Chao. It's a great mix with some less-included characters.

Innovative Designs Paint Display Figures

Innovative Designs is somewhat branching out?
And...this isn't really a school supply, but it doesn't fit in with much else, maybe it's arts n' crafts?
Either way, this is a Paint & Display Sonic and Knuckles paintable figure 2 pack. It comes with 6 colors and 2 brushes so you can paint your own figurines. You get 2 white semi-3D figures, hands on hips Sonic & sort of leaning forward Knuckles?

The figures are just ok, though Knuckles is more on model than Sonic, as his head is rather small and his arms are awkwardly posed. As these are plaster-adjacent material items, they're likely brittle, and so all spaces must be filled in (that's why the legs are connected and their poses are like that)
You also don't get enough paint colors to finish them in the little bins, thre's no green. But this is a 'kiddie type' activity thing. This is a 2024 item.

Target gets on the Back to School action with this 4 Piece School Bag Set.
Aand...it's another of those 'semi cheating' type of sets because 2 of the items aren't even Sonic things at all. It's a generic white plastic cheap water bottle and another of those 'a blue orb' dangler keychains. Yes 'its like the blue spheres special stage' but like...
The actual Sonic items are the standard size 16 inch back pack with "Gotta go fast" slogan and angled stripes. It has pointing CG Sonic as a big graphic on the front. The round soft-sides lunch carrier is another of those 'his face is the box' things, where it has little flappy ears/spikes added to the edges and then the borderless face printed on there. The lunch carrier front is made of a shiny/textured plastic-type fabric. The set is 45 dollars, which is a bit high due to the generic items forced to be included.

Here are 2 more backpacks from Target's fall 2024 selection, and they're both...oddly a bit costly? The "3D Backpack" (left) is somehow 40 dollars by itself and the Come On Step it Up slogan backpack is 30, despite them both being regular 16 inch standard size kids school bags.
The '3D bag', why is it 3d? The description doesn't say. It does have 2 outer zip pockets,

one with Shadow, Sonic & Tails small at the top & the other larger one with pointing CG Sonic, a star & rings. The fabric for the rest of the bag is also nicely Sonic themed, with repeated designs/rows of him running on a light blue background.
The right side bag has Sonic, Shadow & Knuckles art, with simple squares as the background and slogan at the top. This one has side mesh pockets, and a simple red/black/blue color theme. The designs are both decent, they're fun and colorful without looking 'kiddie/baby', but the bags are just a bit oddly expensive. These should be in stores and at the Target website in Fall 2024.

Introducing Loungefly Lenticulars!
A fun new twist from fancy brand LoungeFly appears in fall 2024. With this, they add a lenticular change panel to their items. It starts with this back pack (but there's also a wallet over on accessories) Depending on the angle, you can see a neutral chao, hero chao or dark chao on the bag pocket. Notice that it is also shaped like a chao head, and has a zip-around top. The school bag's theme is Green Hill Zone (despite that having...nothing to do with where Chao are--it's the most recognizable Sonic place) with simple palm trees, ground, flowers and shades of blue checkers.
The bag is cute and colorful, though it is smaller than standard backpacks, so it may be best used as a purse or accessory bag. This IS a Game Stop exclusive and because it is LoungeFly, it is about 55 dollars.
