Sonic Clothing of the USA- Modern Page 22
|This page should have 2013, 2014 and 2015 Sonic clothes.
The USA is still in the golden-age of Sonic clothing, mainly shirts. Watch for great new stock art (From Sega) to appear on these shirts. Top Heavy seems to be producing less, but newcomer Bio World is making more. Both little and big sizes will likely continue. Little sizes are still ok to collect, even if you don't fit into them, because you can still fit the shirt into a frame if you like the design to make it like a poster. Primary stores here will be Sears and WalMart. However, it should be noted that Kohls, JC Penny, Hot Topic, and FYE are also getting into carrying Sonic shirts. GKWorld may also be getting into shirts as well!
You can also shop at the Sonic Gear Clothing Store. .(Gear store actually has a ton of stuff, about 2 pages of it, but it DOES rotate & sell out.

|This tee is likely also available in red and white. This green one is little kids' sizes only. It's All Stars Racing Transformed, and is a Sears item. It is on clearance at the end of 2014. The notable thing is the sewn-on stripes on each sleeve. The red version of this may be the more common one.|
|This item is the first of its kind.
This is a dress for adults with a Sonic theme. It is by "Insert Coin" a video games theme focused clothing maker. Here, they use all-over scene print fabric to make the dress. The cloth is colored entirely with a screen shot from Casino Night Zone in Sonic 2. It's somewhat pixelated (naturally) but it's interesting to see. The front has jumping Sonic, while the back has the neon "Miles" sign from the background. The way the stage layout works makes the top/back of the dress sort of abstract. Cutting a pattern & fitting specific scene fabric to the pattern is
|actually pretty difficult. (Every bolt of cloth has the screen cap over & over, but figuring where & how to cut what peices to make the dress come out with the scene just-so placed is a feat.) Even if the dress wasn't cool (it's pretty cool) it would still be highly collectible due to it's first-of-a-kind nature in 2015. (Adult sizes only)|
|Here is a shirt from Old Navy Clothing that appears in 2015. It is in the kids/teens area, so it should fit more people. The shirt is a bright, pale blue. It uses old classic style Japanese Sonic art. This shows half-kneeling Sonic with a fist on the ground, and no mouth at all. This stock art was seldom seen in the USA & was likely never used on any actual classic products.
It's nice to see it here, really big, and with no obstructions or obnoxious 'faux wear' / weathering to the design. It's either 11.99 or 12.99, so it's an all right deal, especially if you love this old Japanese style classic art. Discovered by Crystal Sonic Fan
|This is just the next in the line up of several sprite tees where the Sonic sprite is big, pixelated at 16 bit style. This is a mens' sizes only shirt at JC Penny in 2015. It's a dull blue, with the full color sprite. This time, Sonic is just standing there, ready to go. (That dots to the right of him is actually the clear size strip) The sprite makes a decent impact since it's so big, so it's an all right shirt if you didn't have anything similar already. The men's sizes means it will fit anyone, which is also good news.|
|This is a lycra-like material all-over print tee. The slogan here is "Sonic Rock The Speed", which is written at the bottom on the back of the shirt. The front has pointing up/jump Sonic while the back has jumping twist Sonic. The background is an abstract sky, desert mountains, and a somewhat abstracted runway pavement. This shirt is in mostly little kids sizes. XL may fit teens. This was a Sears 2014 item.|
|Here's a shirt from winter 2015, at K-mart.
It's not to be confused with a different shirt, with the same slogan, from Wal-Mart. (That one is red, and has a different graphic) This tee is green, with "My Game Never Stops" written in a blocky white font. The Sonic graphic here is plain, un-shaded color art and overlaps the text. The modern logo is small & in color at the bottom. It's a boys/teens item. Discovered by Shadowfoxx757
|This is an adults sizes all-blue tee with simplistic classic style 'forward facing' Sonic face. It uses no blue ink, just letting the shirt be his color. The design has been used loads before, but this is the adults version, so it should fit anyone. It was at Wal Mart in 2011, good, if you didn't already have something similar. |Simple, yet effective. This classic style tee is in MENs sizes only, at JC Penny. This is good news because tees in men's sizes fit anyone. The other good news is that it seems to be selling for only 9.99, which is a good price for an adult tee in 2015. It's classic arms-crossed Sonic, with his name written in the Sonic font, vertically. The design and name are both big & bold. (no weathering either, keeps the tee looking sharp.) Photo by|
|This black tee from Kohl's stores (usually if it's seen there, its generally exclusive to Kohls) brings something a little new to the table. Sure it's got a nice dynamic pose for CG Sonic for the art, but it also has a Red Star Ring, 10-Ring icon, 2 springs & the Green, Purple & Blue chaos emeralds along with a star bumper. It's cool to see the items from the game actually getting used as background graphics. Sonic's name is spelled out across the top, & the modern logo is at the bottom. Look at the paper tag. It is square with checkers & CG Sonic face. The back is blank except the letters "TMI" in a rectangle. This is in the boys/teens area of the store, in winter 2015.|
|Here's a royal blue kids tee with nice neo-classic design.
The background is a fade of very tiny checkers, from dark to light blue to give depth. The word "Sonic" is printed in a block font at the bottom. The new / neo-classic styled art of...open hands...walking/jumping (what is he doing exactly here?) Sonic is placed over a graphic of a simplified flame shape. (Why?) The over-all look of the shirt is good, and the neoclassic art keeps it looking fresh / unlike other tees if you owned more than 1 with Sonic on it. But where is this sold?
|This is an Old Navy tee from spring/summer 2015 season. Their designs tend to only show up at their stores (exclusives) This plain blue tee, sort of tending toward an aqua color can be found in the boys/teens section, likely with other character tees. You can see the Old Navy branding stamped in white at the upper back collar. The design itself is really simple, it's just a black outline of neo-classic (or revised?) forward facing-hands-on-hips Sonic. No backgrounds or logos or anything else to embellish it. It's a good plain tee, if you don't already have something like it. It should be about $8.99|
|Here's a fun new shirt for fall 2015 season.
This mottled gray tee has a classic Sonic face as its large design. However, the parts of the face that would be blue, are filled in by a character collage. Various classic style and neo-classic art for Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in various poses overlap and scatter around inside. The edges of the face also have purposeful overspray & drips where red and blue paint are applied. The classic logo is in color at the bottom right.
By filling in a character portrait with more character art, it gives the design a unique and colorful look. But where can this shirt be found?
|This is a fun set, too bad it's just for toddlers.
This is the Step It Up 2 piece set with tee & matching shorts. The red tee has 3 rectangle portraits for Tails, Knuckles & snowboard-riding Sonic. All are CG, with small squares for the background. It says "Step it Up" in a thick font next to Tails' portrait. The shorts are primarily blue, with red thick lines up the edges. One leg has CG Sonic in a gold ring, with the modern logo below him. The waist is elastic.
This set appears in later 2015, but where is it sold?
|Another toddler / little kids only item...but this time, a Jersey.
This shirt is a bit unusual, since it's not a tee. It is a button up front baseball style jersey in a dark royal blue. It has blue buttons & white trim. The Sonic design is a neo-classic fist-up Sonic on one side of the chest area. That yellow rectangle at the bottom is actually the logo for the clothing company that made this "KEEP UP!" clothing. You can see the official classic Sonic logo tag there in the back. This is the first Keep Up clothing item to appear, it is in fall 2015.
|Another uncommon but cool example of the "AR Enhanced Tee"
This very...bright yellow-green shirt is either a mens size, or a boys/teens size. It is by Dynasty Apparel (their first appearance here), and it is 'augmented reality' enhanced. See the sticker in the top corner? It explains how to 'use' the shirt with a smart phone. If you get the BoostAR app, you can use the phone's camera vision to look upon the design, and it may show animation / 3D graphic over the actual picture. *What does this actually do? Write in if you've tried it.
The flourescent color of the tee with the red, blue, green & black detailed designs makes this shirt a bit loud. This appears in 2015, but it is not common. Where is it sold?
